Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Israel Landes dba Plateclear ("Plateclear", "we") collects when you use plateclear.com and the Plateclear API, and what we do with it. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- From Discord sign-in: Discord sends us your user ID, username and basic profile details (such as display name, avatar and language). We keep only your user ID and username. We don't receive your Discord password, and we don't keep the Discord sign-in token.
- From checkout: your email address and the Stripe customer and subscription IDs, plus payment status. Card details go to Stripe; we never see or store them. We give Stripe your Discord username (as the customer name), your Discord user ID and our member ID, so a payment can be matched to your membership.
- Consent records: a fingerprint (one-way hash) of the exact renewal and terms wording you agreed to — the wording itself is kept in our version history — plus the time, the checkout it led to and a one-way hash of your IP address, kept for at least 3 years as proof of consent.
- Waitlist: your Discord ID and, if you give it, your email address.
- API keys: a one-way hash of each key (never the key itself), its label, its last 4 characters and when it was last used.
- Security and operations: a session cookie (see below), short-lived rate-limit counters by IP address (kept in memory, not stored), an audit log of account changes, and our web server's access logs (IP address, time, page requested and browser type), kept for 14 days.
Why
To run your membership: sign you in, take payment, give and remove access (including your Discord role), send receipts and the renewal reminders the law requires, keep the service secure, and answer you when you contact us.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run Plateclear:
- Stripe — payments, receipts and the billing page where you manage or cancel.
- Discord — sign-in and the members server.
- Cloudflare — our DNS and network provider. Requests to plateclear.com pass through Cloudflare, which sees your IP address and the request.
- Our kit host (get.plateclear.com) — serves the install-kit files and sees the IP address of anyone who downloads one.
- Our hosting provider — runs the server that stores the data above.
- Resend — our email provider: sends the yearly renewal reminder and other account emails we send ourselves.
We don't sell or share your personal information for advertising, and the site has no third-party analytics, trackers or ad scripts.
Cookies
One strictly necessary session cookie keeps you signed in, plus a short-lived cookie during Discord sign-in. No advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
Account and billing records for as long as you are a member and then as long as tax and consumer-protection rules require; consent records for at least 3 years; deleted API keys and sessions are removed or made unusable at once.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion (some billing and consent records must be kept by law). California residents have the right to know, delete and correct, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights; we don't sell or share personal information as defined by California law.
